Graduation Requirements for High School Diploma AND UC/CSU ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
(a grade of D- or above earns credit toward a diploma, a grade of C- or above is required for college admission)

WCCUSD Graduation Requirement, 225 credits, D- or higher grade

UC/CSU Application Requirement, C or higher grade

A - Social Studies

3 years/30 credits: World History (10th grade), US History (11th grade), American Government/Economics (12th grade)

2 years - must include 1 year of World History AND EITHER 1 year of US History OR ½ year US History and ½ year American Government

B - English

4 years / 40 credits

4 years

C - Math

3 years / 30 credits

3 years; 4 years is recommended

D - Laboratory Science

2 years / 20 credits - including 1 year/10 credits each Life Science and Physical Science

2 years - including 1 year each of Life Science and Physical Science; at least 3 years is recommended

E - Language Other Than English

1 year / 10 credits

2 years; at least 3 years recommended

F - Visual or Performing Art

1 year / 10 credits

1 year

G - College Prep Elective

65 credits (6-½ year long courses)

Physical Education-PE

2 years / 20 credits
